Ulrich Pfister began trading in hay and straw in Zollbrück as early as 1875. In 1912 Emil Maeder buys the company. He builds the first warehouse at the current location and expands the product range. Since then, MAEDER has been one of the most important independent Swiss suppliers of roughage. In 2017, Markus Stöckli joins MAEDER AG as managing director. At the beginning of 2019, he takes over the trading department from the owner family and continues the traditional business as MAEDER AG. The Zollbrück location will remain for the time being. After 149 years in Zollbrück, MAEDER AG will relocate to Zäziwil in the Emmental region in November 2024.
