Ulrich Pfister began trading in hay and straw in Zollbrück as early as 1875. In 1912 Emil Maeder buys the company. He builds the first warehouse at the current location and expands the product range. Since then, MAEDER has been one of the most important independent Swiss suppliers of roughage. In 2017, Markus Stöckli joins MAEDER AG as managing director. At the beginning of 2019, he takes over the trading department from the owner family and continues the traditional business as MAEDER AG. The location in Zollbrück will continue to be maintained.
